More royalties thanks to “Strani Amori” sync in Milani’s “Come un gatto in tangenziale 2” movie
The second part of the Italian comedy “Come un gatto in tangenziale 2” by Riccardo Milani aired in the cinemas duringAugust 2021, amazing its audience with its intelligent script and soundtrack choices.
Laura Pausini’s song “Strani amori”, part of the Benvenuto Edizioni Musicali catalogue, was proudly featured in the film, coming once over in the forefront of the recent successes. This prominent win can only result in extra synchronization royalties generated each time the movie is being watched, and, thus, extra income for the catalogue’s rights holders.
“Come un gatto in tangenziale 1” aired in 2017, winning three awards in Italy’s oldest Italian film award ceremony Nastri d’Argento (Silver Ribbons), and grossing almost 10 million euros. Riccardo Milani’s talent and strong cast are expected to keep the sequel equivalently on the top, along with the “Strani amori” second movie appearance, just a few months after its featuring in Checco Zalone’s movie TOLO TOLO.
