National record of 1 Billion Streams for Laura Pausini
Laura Pausini is the first Italian artist to surpass 1 billion streams on Spotify, marking a real milestone record for the Italian music scene.
The data refers to the total number of plays which Pausini’s songs, including singles and albums have gathered on the streaming platform. Streams are counted in Spotify for artists when a song is streamed for over 30 seconds.
This truly exceptional milestone that no Italian singer has ever reached until now, can be attributed as well to the artist’s great worldwide success, and highly recognized Spanish versions of her albums. Pausini’s latest success “Io sì (Seen)”, the soundtrack of "La vita davanti a sé" with Sophia Loren, is an Oscar 2021 nominee for Best Original Song. “La Solitudine” which is probably her best known song among a large selection of other great hits, has reached more than 20 million streams on its own.
Laura Pausini is also the Italian artist with the most monthly listeners, with more than 5.5 million users per month.
